FIGO invites all delegates, accompanying persons and members of the trade to take part in the FIGO 5K Fun Run. Runners and walkers are invited to come along and greet the morning with a fresh brisk walk or run. The event will take place on Tuesday, 06th October 2009 at 06h30.
The FIGO 5K Run/Walk emphasizes the need for increased physical activity and will help raise funds for a Women's Health Charity. We aim to increase the profile and work of FIGO by events of this nature and all profits from this event will be donated to a worthy cause. The 5K Run/Walk will be one of the main attractions at the XIX FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics and it is the only event that will take congress participants out onto the streets of Cape Town along the beautiful Sea Point Promenade.
Participation is R100.00 per person and registration is open to the first 200 registrants. T-shirts and water bottles will be provided courtesy of MSD. All participants will need to register and pay in advance in order to be allowed to take part in the FIGO 5K Fun Run/Walk.
