Through the years women have had a major influence on the wine industry in the Western Cape of South Africa and we celebrate these women by visiting wineries where today, or in earlier years, their impact is the most significant.
The tour takes in wineries in the Paarl, Franschoek and Stellenbosch regions. Renowned for their scenic beauty and the quality of their wines. Each of the chosen wineries has been endowned with the powerful influence of a unique woman (or two!) dating from the 1690's through to modern times.
At each of the wineries, in addition to enjoying the history and ambiance, you are invited to participate in a tasting of their wines. Lunch will be taken at one of the wineries.
