Situated on the mighty Zambezi River the Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. The local people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya" -- the smoke that thunders and at 1 708 meters wide it is the largest falling curtain of water in the world.
The tour departs from (and returns to) OR Tambo Int. Airport in Johannesburg and includes a return flight from Johannesburg to Livingstone, three nights at the Zambezi Sun Hotel in Zambia on a bed and breakfast basis, transfers from Livingstone to the hotel (and back) and the following activities.
- An evening sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River (upstream of the falls) on the African Queen,
- A full day game drive to the Chobe National Park in Botswana including a game viewing boat trip on the Chobe River,
- A half day visit to the Zimbabwean side of the Victoria Falls.
The hotel is situated in a 46 hectare World Heritage Site adjacent to the spectacular Easter Cataract during your stay you have unlimited access to the Zambian side of the falls. Dinners and lunches are for your own expense as are any additional activities which you could sign up for once you arrived. Some of the possible options would be bungy jumping (not for the faint hearted!), white water rafting, microlight / helicopter flights over the falls or elephant back safaris.
